All members
Our projects and workshops are as varied as our members are diverse. We are over 40 young people from all over Vorarlberg who believe that not only the future belongs to young people, but also the present. We youth ambassadors discuss with each other how we can realise the issues we are passionate about so that they are not just on paper. We turn ideas into projects, organise workshops, draw attention to important issues and meet with experts for new input. We want to help shape our present and future. Because waiting until people listen to us and we are “grown up enough” (is that ever the case?) is not our thing!
It all started in 2013 with ten children who were primarily dedicated to UN children’s rights. Over time, we not only got older, but more and more young people joined us. In addition to workshops for schools, we created giant children’s rights figures, musicals, photo exhibitions, a children’s book and projects with young Ethiopians. Children’s rights were joined by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and many other ideas and topics.

Get active!
You don’t have to be able to do everything or know everything. Together we know a lot – but we are not experts! We want to raise awareness, shake things up, bring in different perspectives and create something new. The most important thing is to get started and take action, because people talk too much and too often anyway. And this works best together with others, which is why we network with as many different people as possible, exchange ideas with other youth organisations, take part in conferences and listen to interesting people. We believe that we must use our privileges to raise our voices for other children and young people, to draw attention to their problems and to create opportunities for YOU to be listened to. Because at the end of the day, we are only able to fight injustice and climate change together. Something has to change, that is clear. For our future and for that of many generations to come!
You can join one of the monthly “workshops” organised by the youth ambassadors at any time. The “workshops” are the meetings at which almost all members meet in Dornbirn in the Wirkraum to plan upcoming projects, workshops and activities and to discuss dates.
The children’s ambassadors also meet regularly, where you can also drop in.
Contact Nicole (the head of the youth ambassadors and children’s ambassadors) to arrange an appointment for the first meeting.
